Aion Open Beta Information - Aion Release Date

This is the latest MMORPG created by NCsoft Seoul development studios. It already has a lot of hype all around the Internet. This PC game created thousands of followers even from as early as 2006 and still gaining (I'm one of them actually). The Aion Release date in the NA and UK in mid 2009, that's September 22, 2009 in NA and September 25, 2009 in the UK. Aion has been Online in South Korea since November 25, 2008. The game already gathered over a million and more players in just the beta stage.

Players have been waiting patiently for the official Aion release. In order to enter the game on its Beta Stage, you will have to pre-order. Pre-ordering Aion will give you lots of benefits.

Some of the benefits you will get is being able to log-in 2 days before the official date of release. It's a headstart for those who are very eager to try out the game and also for people who want's to get ahead of everyone else.

However, you will also have to pay a monthly fee or buy game time cards in order to keep playing in the Aion Open Beta.

Currently, NA/UK players are able to play the open beta stage. However, be aware that accounts will be disabled until the next Beta, which is Beta 7.

The version that North America and Europe game will be launching is 1.5. Currently, it is on 1.2.

What is Aion - Still In Beta But Already The Best MMO

Aion is a new mmorpg produced by Ncsoft, company from Seoul, South Korea. It is an exciting new MMORPG with mesmerizing characters and breath taking celestial environment to explore. Soar through the clouds or scour the devastated lands of Altreia in this beautiful and unique fantasy MMORPG.

Factions:

In Aion, there are 3 factions but you can only choose from 2 of them. They are Asmodians and Elyos. The two factions in the game share the same ancestor but were separated when the Tower of Eternity, along with the world, shattered. Each resided on opposite ends of the world, being the Balaur, the NPC faction, in the middle. The Elyos have “angelic” appearances while the Asmodians have “devilish” looks. Both aren't necessarily good or bad.

Classes:

Unleash powerful spells, take monsters head-on, kill the enemy with long range attacks before they reach you or hide in the shadows and wait for the killing opportunity. It features a lot of different classes, 4 of which are basic. They are Mage, Scout, Priest and of course Warrior.

After playing the game, upon reaching level 10, you can choose a sub class. For Mages, you can either be a Spiritmaster or a Sorcerer. As a Priest, you can choose to be a Chanter or a Cleric. If you're a Warrior, you can be a Gladiator or a Templar. And last and certainly not the least because in all of MMO history these class have the highest population, the Scout can become an Assassin or Ranger.

Wings:

In Aion, you can become a Daeva which gains wings at level 10. The wings that you acquire will let you explore the land of Altreia in more detail. Unlike other MMO which features flying, in Aion wings have a time limit and they can only be upgraded through PvP.

PvPvE:

Aion has a unique feature in PvP. This is PvPvE or Player versus Player versus Environment. You won't just be battling with one another but also with the NPC, meaning everything from the Monsters aka Balaur and Weather. For example, a Fireball Spell won't be useful if it's raining but a Lightning Spell will certainly produce a very painful result. It's exciting to imagine and quite realistic too.

Graphics:

Aion uses the latest graphics engine. It is a more powerful modified version of Crytech by Ubisoft. Crytech is known due to the popular game Far Cry which was awarded as the “Best PC Game” in 2003.

Character Customization:

This is the bomb. Aion has the best character customization as of date. Given the powerful graphics engine, Aion has the most detailed character design to ever surface. You can change the height/scale of different body parts, bulkyness, sexiness, eyecolor (in Aion 1.5 release), hair and of course face. Aion gives you a thousand possibilities of creating your character.
